Eliminate the Federal Budget Deficit

We as Americans are NOT over taxed as compared to other industrialized nations. We need to realize that and get a realistic way to balance the federal budget and to eliminate the Federal Budget Deficit
HOW ABOUT THIS?
We need to realize a few things. As a whole with all of the taxes included, we are not over taxed by any stretch of the imagination. When you take into account the taxes other nations pay, as well as VAT taxes and typically over the top gasoline taxes, we actually enjoy a tax rate that is too low and is mortgaging our future. We need improvements to roads and bridges, we need to expand the transportation systems and we need much more. We need to STOP BEING GREEDY and learn that we must pay for these things! We have become a nation of spoiled brats living in excess and it is no where more evident that the current recession. Funny how we complain about big government and yet almost no one is willing to give back their social security. Do you realize that is big government? Big business, that nearly bankrupted us, is worse. I can't believe that no one is making this point! CEO's making millions while businesses tank and we want big business like the health insurance companies to help us cut costs...YEAH RIGHT!
Big government didn't do this to us, big business did. Regulations didn't cause this near catastrophe, lack of regulation did. We don't need to cut taxes to get us out of this mess. We need to pay for items that we need to grow and prosper as a nation. Also, big business needs to pay for what they do. Pollute the waterways and the land and the taxpayers are stuck with the tab? Bull! That should be a cost of doing business. It amazes me that we want lower taxes and bigger deficits as the roads deteriorate and the bridges near collapse. The electrical system is antiquated and we are falling apart. We have to realize that for the future, we need to spend on infrastructure and pay as we go! Here is what I propose to balance the budget. It won't be easy, but if we want a future, we need to do it.
Reduce the Federal Deficit. Get the budget under control. Balance the Federal Budget! Comments on what is going on in Washington!
Raise the inheritance taxes. The fact that you can get millions tax free is crazy. The argument against taxing it is that taxes were already paid once! I have news for you...money is taxed over and over again! That is the way it works!
Take the top tax rate to 50% with no loop hole for anyone making one million dollars per year and more. They can certainly afford that, and if not that should be their problem.
Take the limit off of the social security tax for employers and employees. They both pay all the way.
Raise the gas tax .75 per gallon. Maybe we will conserve gas and stop making countries that hate us, wealthy.
Charge a $ 2.50 fee for every concert, sporting event at the professional level and every amusement park ticket. If you can afford the prices of these, a $ 2.50 fee won't stop people from going.
Charge a $ 2.50 annual fee for a vehicle registration (boats included) paid to the federal government that can only be used for road, bridges and rail.
Add a .05 tax on all soft drinks and bottles of water.
Add a .25 per can or bottle tax for alcoholic beverages.
Add $ 4.50 per ticket of anyone caught in violation of the driving laws.
Add a fee of $ 2,000.00 for any car or truck purchased that gets less than a set miles per gallon. If you want your hummer, you can have it, but you have to pay.
Add a federal gun purchase fee of $ 25.00 on every firearm sold in this country.
Add a sliding fine to everyone convicted of a crime from the little items to the big crimes. For instance, caught with dope? The penalty is whatever and a fed fine of $ 50.00. Do the same for each DUI. A second conviction costs you more.
Want a second home? That should cost you a percentage fee. If you can afford a second home, you can afford a fee.
I know this will probably make a lot of people mad but too bad. I know this won't happen and we will be forced to become a much poorer nation soon. My prediction...we a re living on borrowed time and you will see that I was right.
