Why not have the government back, fund and support a company like this?

HOW ABOUT THIS?

We are not in any way affiliated with this company, but they seem to have a great idea for an electric and electric hybrid car. The reality is that if the economy picks up, so will the price of gas. We are owned by OPEC and other oil producing countries and we all know it. There is a

small company in California that is working on an electric and a hybrid two seater with what seems to us to be, great technology. The gas mileage is over 100 mpg and they are working on production. Check it out here at Aptera.com. The car is listed (due to regulation) as a motorcycle and that needs to be changed. With funding from the government, why couldn't this car be put into serious production right away? Not a partnership, but a loan to be repaid. Something that could get these units on the road nationwide quickly. Hybrid and electric is the future of the American vehicle and we feel that the sooner, the better for all. Instead of bailing out dinosaurs, we feel that our government needs to promote the innovators that will drive the job market into the future. We don't know if it is

possible, but could you imagine 300,000 of these in the consumers driveways in one year. The costs of the vehicle would undoubtedly be lower and therefore the retail would too.

We know the Washington can do it fast if they have too. We need to tell them to get with companies like this and help them to ramp it up. The sooner we can tell Iran, Russia and Venezuela to stick their oil, the sooner we can become great again instead of our oil situation being...as all of the politicians say... a threat to our national security.
